The families who grow your food.
Amudham buys directly from small farming families across Tamil Nadu. They grow the old varieties the old way, and we pay a fair price so they can keep doing it.
Our farms
Every grain has a village behind it.
We work directly with families who farm using cow-dung manure, rainwater and seeds saved from the last harvest. You pay a fair price; they keep the old varieties alive.

How our farmers grow
Cow-dung manure
Fields are fed with cow-dung and green manure from the farm itself, not synthetic fertiliser.
Rain-fed fields
Most of our rice and millets grow on rainwater, the way these varieties were bred to.
Seeds from the last harvest
Farmers keep back seed from every harvest. That is how heirloom varieties like Karuppu Kavuni and Mappillai Samba survive.
Taste the harvest
Rice, dals, millets and oils, packed fresh from the mill.
